Smiley boy!

Here are Kaden's official 9 month pictures! He was so good at smiling on command and the photographers all loved him. (He is a flirt and they are all girls...) The last picture is with his two other cousins, McKayla and Taliyah. It is McKayla's 1st birthday today, so Happy Birthday McKayla!



For this last picture, Kaden was mad that he had to share the spotlight with other babies. These were the only shots that he would NOT smile for...attention hog. But McKayla did great and Taliyah just wanted to go back to sleep...haha.

9 months old already?!

So, our darling boy is turning 9 months old in 4 days! He had his 9 month check-up this past Wednesday and I thought I would share his current stats for any of you who care. :) He is 28 1/2 inches long (65%), 19 lbs (25%), and his head is in the 25%. His entire life his head has always been between the 5%-15%, so we are really happy he is finally getting up there. He went down in the weight percentile, but not too much since he has never been higher than the 30%. I think he just can't keep the weight on now that he is crawling EVERYWHERE and eating less (less? I know! isn't that weird?). His latest antics are crawling (of course), clapping at everything, saying "Mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, etc..." until he gets my attention (at which point he just smiles HUGE at me-I LOVE it!). I know everyone says it, but seriously, I can't believe how fast he is growing!

ZOO TRIP!!

I have been so excited to take Kaden to the zoo for the first time! Last Saturday, we met up with our good friends and got to take all of our kids out together. It was lots of fun. Here are some pics of our fun, hot day.

Elizabeth "Lizzy" Porter

This weekend our wonderful, adorable hamster, Lizzy, died. We got her in November of 2006 when I was really baby hungry and not pregnant yet. She was a great, active little lady who never bit anyone (well, a couple of love nibbles, but she never bit in anger to draw blood). I have owned hamsters before and I have never had one as well behaved as she was. We will miss you lots Lizzy. We love you.
