You know Chad and Kenzie Bailey...?

So, since our beloved Bailey's left to the middle of nowhere (Fillmore, UT), they don't have the internet. Kenzie asked me to announce the arrival of the newest Bailey for her: Gaines McKay Bailey was born today, Jan, 26th, 2009 at 2:30 pm. He weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. Because Kenzie is freaking Wonder Woman, she again went natural. The doctor induced her this morning and active labor was "rough" and went from1:00 pm-2:30 pm. Kenzie pushed for about 5-10 minutes...good job girl! Gaines had a hard time breathing so while one nurse stayed with Kenzie, everyone else worked on Gaines. He is doing better now and has been awake all day! Kenzie broke her tailbone (again-it happened with Logan, too) so she is feeling the pain from that. Logan loves his little brother! Logan talks to him and sits with Kenzie on the hospital bed. Logan says, "Baby Gaines, you want a binky? Baby Gaines, these are MY cars-NOT yours!" haha Gaines has curly, blonde hair, blue eyes (for now) and Logan's cute nose. I don't have any pictures yet, but Kenzie said that either her or Chad's mom would e-mail me some this weekend to post for her. Kenzie and Chad send their love and say that they miss everyone tons!

What does Kaden think?

So, Kaden ignored Lexi for the first two weeks after we brought her home. Then, he would "help" me burp her, except he burped her head (okay, so he was probably hitting her head, but I will think positively because moms are supposed to do that...haha). Now, when Lexi cries, Kaden brings me one of her blankets (I think he has seen her calm down in the past when we bundle her up in the blankets...) and he also is good being "soft" when petting her hair. It is so cute! The other night Kaden was sitting on Shane's lap and I set Lexi next to him so I could go do dishes. All of a sudden, I hear Shane telling me to come see. I walked over and saw this...
He was holding her hand! How cute is that?! I couldn't get a picture from the front, because Kaden would have let go....but it's still adorable. :D

He had to be holding her either on her arm (like this) or holding her hand. I love my kids!

So excited!

So. in four days from today (this Friday) Lexi will be 6 weeks old? Know what that means? I GET TO START WORKING OUT AGAIN! Woo hoo!! I have been counting down! I can't wait to get rid of the baby fat once and for all!

One month!!

Lexi is one month old today! It has flown by and has been fun and stressful. :) She has acid reflux so the biggest challenge has been trying to learn how to deal with that. Here are some pictures to show you how big she is! A week ago she weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz and was still 19 1/2 inches long. Enjoy!
Lexi loves to stick out her bottom lip...I think it is an adorable pouty face.

She loves to sleep like this-both arms up and total stretched out.

I love this blanket and wish I had my own. :)

Tiny feet!!

The newborn size pants still drown her...

And just so you don't think we have forgotten Kaden....this is the smile we get when we say, "Smile!" Is that not the cutest little man ever?!

A bit much?

Spring semester started today at Weber State. I am pretty sure I am insane because I am taking 2 classes (Shane says ONLY two classes...), which means I have school, a part-time job, a toddler, and a newborn....anything else I can add to my overflowing plate? One of my classes is a stress management class, which Shane says I need...maybe if I wasn't going to school I wouldn't need it! :) Wish me luck during the next 3 months...hopefully I will be able to do a good post on here every now and then.
