April Fool's!! Oh, wait-it's still March.....guess I'm not kidding.

March 3, 2009: Remember this post? Get a good laugh out of the video? Me, too.

Loretta drugged=FUN Loretta. :D

Remember how excited I was to be done, done, DONE having kids and be sterile?? Guess the joke's on me....(the head is the larger part on the bottom left, then you can see the gummy bear arms and legs)

Um, yeah. Shock of my LIFE. My doctor's, too. I'm due 10/10/10. We should find out at my next appointment what we're having (as long as Baby cooperates). I am 12 weeks today and have known since Feb 9th that I am pregnant. Still in shock. I have been sick (well, as sick as I get...no puking, just constant nausea), but I think I am over that now (YAY!). The question I get asked the most: am I excited?

Um....kind of? Babies are fun, right? Besides the nursing, waking up every two hours, screaming, constant diaper changing, and spitting up everywhere. Ugh. Yes, I think I am a little excited, but more just scared out of my MIND. I'll be needing help with baby names once we know what we are having, k? :)

15 months old!!

Lexi had her 15 month appointment this morning (which worked out perfectly since she woke up with a fever, cough, and runny nose). She actually turned 15 months old "officially" last Friday, the 12th, but her doctor was out of town until yesterday and I refuse to go to any other doctor. I love this lady! She is amazing! Here are her stats for those of you who care/understand:

Height: 30 inches (50%) (YAY!!)
Weight: 20.4 lbs (10%) (Ok, seriously-she never stops eating...where is it all going?! She also never stop moving, so that probably doesn't help her get fat..haha)
Head: 15%

Lexi finally got her first tooth on Feb. 8th! And three more have followed close behind. She took off walking on February 11th and hasn't looked back since. She absolutely loves being able to keep up with Kaden and the other "big kids." :)
She knows a few signs (since we do so much sign language with Kaden, this doesn't surprise me). Her favorite signs are: excited, A, milk, and more. She says all of these words, too as she signs them, but it really helps to have her sign it so we understand her. Or at least I do.... :)
Lexi loves giving high five's and waving hi and bye to everyone (even if you are just leaving the room for one second). Her gorgeously long, curly hair is so much fun to play with and I can't wait until the day that she actually holds still for me to do it. It will make my life so much easier and the whole process of doing her hair ten times faster. :) Lexi has also turned into a full blown toddler. She is getting into EVERYTHING! At our friends house a couple of weeks ago, she fell off their leather couch (it was slippery with her socks on), but luckily her forehead broke her fall. Yeah. It was horrible.
Yeah. How sad is that?! Can you see that massive bump/bruise?? We watched her for an hour afterwards to make sure she didn't have a concussion, and thankfully, she was fine. I was sure when she woke up the next morning that half of her forehead would be a big, purple bruise.

Um...ok? There were a couple of small bruises and then these two scratches. I was thrilled since it could have been so much worse! And it wasn't even swollen anymore! Woo! I love that kids heal fast.

Lexi loves dressing up. :) She also loves shoes and purses. Anything that can hang over her shoulder, turns into a purse that she will walk around with. I love my baby!

5th anniversary!

Five years ago today I married the love of my life (and my forever). We have gone through so much together these last years, both good and bad, but I couldn't think of anyone else I would rather face life's ups and downs with. We were both there for each other in the horrible first year after our wedding when my parents got divorced and his left the church. Those experiences brought us closer than anything could. It has been heavenly since then, though, with the birth of our first child, Kaden, in 2007, and following close behind in 2008, Alexandria. We bought our first home together a year ago and it has been fun watching Shane learn so much about fixing things around the home. He's a regular handyman now! I love you, Shane and will always love you forever. MWAH!

This was taken over General Conference weekend about a month after we met. This was the first time Shane held my hand (yes, a month later....chicken). And see that bruise covering my upper left arm? You can click on the photo to enlarge it. Shane did that the day before. We were on a jet ski up at Pineview Res. and he kept making it JUMP and then we would slam back down. I was holding on extremely tight to the steering thingy and, after being repeatedly slammed against it, got that huge bruise. :) Shane felt awful. He said, "I heard you saying OW! STOP! but I thought you were just scared." Glad to know he doesn't stop "just because" I'm scared.... ;)

Shane proposed on Christmas Eve (and no, I had absolutely ZERO idea that it was coming, so it took him about ten minutes to convince me he was serious....the ring and being down on one knee wasn't enough, it was when I saw how hard he was shaking that finally convinced me...haha). We left about 3 days later with his family for Disneyland!!! When we got there, we had a right place, right time moment and were the first in line to see Minnie. We told her we had just gotten engaged. She freaked out and hugged us both, then drug us across the plaza to where Mickey had a LONG line of admirers waiting and she cut in front of everyone to let us get a rare picture with both of them! It was absolutely amazing and a memory that we will never forget.
(After we had done pictures with them and they did some silly antics, Minnie went back to her spot on the other side. People were so disappointed that they couldn't get a picture with both.) :) I love Disneyland!

March 15, 2005 Can I just say how much I loved my train?! It was super long and perfect. I actually loved my dress all around and as soon as I can fit into it again, I will totally be wearing it around the house to vacuum. :)

For our honeymoon, we went on a cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. It was lots and lots of fun! I got really sick, though, from something I ate there and spent the entire week after the cruise puking my guts out. I think that is the last time I have thrown up. Anyway, I suggest everyone go on a cruise at some point in their lives. We have gone on a total of two now and I think eating double your weight in good food is the highlight. haha :)

At least we know he likes girls.....

Last week my friend, Kelly, watched the kids for a bit. Kaden and Lexi loved seeing Liz, of course, but I think their favorite new toy is the dress up clothes.

Princess Lexi

And Kaden didn't want to feel left out.....
For the record, it was his idea to dress up in pink fairy wings and the princess hat. Good thing I caught him kissing Liz or else we'd have to wonder. haha Maybe I'd better find some boy dress up stuff....capes, swords....what else is there?
P.S. Shane saw these pictures and has vowed to never let Kelly babysit again. ;)
