A little randomness

Yes, I'm posting this at 1:00 AM.  Why?  Because apparently any time my kids are out in the heat for more than five minutes they get heat exhaustion and start throwing up EVERYWHERE - Lexi's favorite is in the middle of the night.  She just had a bath and is now watching Tangled while her stomach settles enough for her to sleep.  Basically, I'll be up for about the next two hours.  What better time to blog?

Let's start off with a totally random picture, just for kicks and giggles, hmm?

This is the greeting Shane gets every day when he arrives home from work.  His kids miss him.  :)

We've been going on a lot of morning walks lately with a couple of girls from my ward and their kids.

Kaden on his big bike, and the princesses waiting to be pushed.
I finally was able to get the front of Ari's hair into an elastic and pull it back to her pigtails!!
All two strands made it to the pigtails!  haha
Most days the kids have a rough time biking or riding their scooters for an hour (and by "rough time," I mean they whine and whine), so this day we stopped and took a little break.
Kaden, Ari, Lexi, and Kanyon (she's almost 4 years old)
Handsome man
Beautiful girl!
Lexi and Kanyon are pretty much the same age and LOVE each other.
Kanyon has a little sister, Kallie, who is Ari's age, but for some reason she didn't make it into the pictures.  You'll see her in a minute, though.

On Friday, June 29th, we went to the drive-in with the same friends from the ward that I go walking with.  We got there early so we could get a close spot and the kids just played and played and played.  And got crazy amounts of dirty...

Kanyon's feet
From L to R: Kallie (with shoes on), Kanyon, Kaden, Lexi, Graysen, Jessica (Graysen's mom)
You should have seen the tub the next morning... nasty.

From L to R: Jenny hugging her son, Bradley, Kallie, Kanyon, Kaden, Lexi, Jess holding Graysen
Jenny isn't in the ward.  She's a friend of Kim's, who is in the ward.  It gets confusing, but we're all friends.  :)

Graysen cuddling with his dad, Sam.
Fun random fact for Kelly: so, you kind of know Steph Jorgensen from Alpine, right?  Well, she and Jessica went to high school together in Brigham.  Cue "It's A Small World" theme music...
Kanyon and Lexi hugging again...and Graysen and Sam photobombing.  :)

So, we were doing a girl's only pic, and Jess wasn't in it, so Kim was yelling at her to get her butt over here and all of a sudden Jess comes running up yelling, "CATCH ME!"  None of us thought she was serious as she actually flung her body in the air towards us.  I was scared to death that she would hit her head on the bed of her truck (she almost did), but the picture was worth a thousand words:
We were DYING laughing!
All the girls!  L to R: Jenny, Kim, Me (great day to NOT get dressed cute or do my hair/makeup...), and Jess not flying through the air.  ;)
Woo hoo!  That's all of June!!
I'll start on July sometime tomorrow...probably.  We'll see how Lexi is doing by then.  Oh, and FYI, if you need to find me and the kids, we will be INSIDE for the rest of the summer on any day that is over 90 degrees.  So, basically, see you outside in September.  We'll probably be at the aquarium every Saturday...or maybe Clearfield's aquatic center since it's indoors.  :)

That stinks that they get heat exhaustion so easily. It is crazy hot lately though. I didn't know you went to the drive-in recently. We just went last night for Scott's birthday. I don't think we will be going back any time soon since my kids won't sit through a movie.
